Lying In The Shadows is a psychological-thriller-murder-mystery featuring a cast of characters who struggle with trauma, addiction, and heartbreak. In this wicked tale Detective Ramirez’s worst nightmare comes to life as a series of murders unfold in her neighborhood. Will she be able to solve her most difficult case yet, or drown in the sea of stress trying to fill her father’s shoes?
 After her father’s death, Detective Consuela Ramirez began to experience reoccuring night terrors. Which she hadn’t had since she was a teenager. If that wasn’t enough, there is a new killer on her block, and she has taken the case.
    Consuela had looked up to her father who was the best damn detective this city ever had. Ever since she was a little girl she knew she wanted to follow in his footsteps. With his partner, T. Rogers, by his side they were virtually unstoppable.
  Unfortunately, the brightest candles burn the fastest, and Consuela’s father died in his sleep of a heart attack at the age of 51 just three days after she was promoted to detective. 
    Now, with T as her partner and desperate to honor her father’s legacy, she is dead set on catching this monster no matter the cost. Having seen this too many times, T is worried he won’t be able keep his promise of keeping her safe.
    Will Consuela be able to hunt the monsters lying in the shadows?
